Tusk Trust was established in response to an urgent need to halt the decline in Africa’s natural heritage and find a way to combine the interests of people and wildlife alike. Tusk currently provides financial, logistical and practical support for a large portfolio of field projects spread across 18 African countries.
The Giraffe Conservation Foundation are undertaking a research project to identify the historical and current conservation status of giraffe across northern Botswana. The data collected will be fundamental when considering appropriate conservation management strategies of both the species and the areas.
Maun Animal Welfare Society is a non-profit organisation which aims to improve the lives of domestic animals by providing free veterinary services and educational programmes in and around Maun, Botswana.
The Central Kalahari Predator Prey Research program is the umbrella research project with a 10 year outlook on the Kalahari. This project will look at the use of waterholes in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, vegetation change using fixed-point photography and animal trends using ground and aerial surveys.
The Central Kalahari Lion Research program involves the collection of data from lions via GPS/Satcom collars in order to gain a greater understanding of how lions respond to the various parameters that influence range and movement of lions in the Central Kalahari area.
LionAid was originally established in 2004, with the intention to raise funds to support lion research activities in Africa. One of their goals is to raise awareness of how endangered lions are and to help people understand the reasons for lion conservation today.
Painted Dog Conservation’s mission is to protect and increase the range and numbers of painted dogs (also known as African Wild Dogs or Cape Hunting Dogs) through hands on conservation, education, community involvement and international support.

Cheetah Conservation Botswana aims to preserve the nation's cheetah population through scientific research, community outreach and education, working with rural communities to promote coexistence with Botswana's rich diversity of predator species.
